Marantz dr600 cd recorder playing up

My Marantz dr6000 CD player has started to play up a bit, the drawer keeps opening. As I am thinking of dipping my toe in the steaming world.
Just thinking about the best options - currently I don't have a dac - is there a decent CD player/streamer?
Or should I just link my MacBook Pro to the amp for cd playing and just use Apple Music ?

Can be a few reasons for that depending on machine. Sometimes the belt if it has one is loose. Sometimes the microswitch on drawer doesnt get pressed properly or is faulty, and sometimes the drawer cog wheel jumps a cog and ends up closed but not quite pressing the switch.

As for your streaming, a usb dac from the mac to your system would be fine. Think some macs have a mini optical in the headphone socket too you could use
