3 * ARCA OAK hifi cabinets

3 Arca hifi cabinets --- these were £550 each when new.
In v good condition with only surface marks which will no doubt polish out, they could probably benefit from a wax to return to original condition - I am only selling as am changing rest of furniture.

Cabinets as follows:
1 x with left hand door, 1 x middle section has velcro 'fixed' cover and
1 x right hand door.

Cabinets are very stable and are both lovely pieces of furniture and top quality hifi supports.

The front coverings are acoustically transparent allowing use of remotes and even centre speaker to be placed in cabinet if preferred.

Each cabinet is h 60cm x d 49cm x w 54cm

2 end cabinets have 2 x internal adjustable shelves
'Centre' cabinet has a single adjustable shelf

Collection only £300 a Christmas bargain surely ?

Do you think they would sit happily stacked up on each other? Is there any access to the cables at the back once the equipment is inside?

they are completely open at the back so no issues with access ---- and yes think they'd be fine stacked if necessary maybe put some cork or protector to spare the tops but they are all the same size so should be ok

Thanks I'm tempted as I'm fed up with my valve amps in boxes on shelves. Do you think the fabric doors would be sufficient protection from a determined small boy to investigate what's behind them? And would the shelves take the weight of a valve amp looks like there are dowel holes up the sides so presumably the weight is limited by their strength? I had one more question but it has slipped my mind..

kids should be fine ..... am sure you could boost strength of dowels or obv have amps on the bottom 'shelf' --- depends how many amps you have to store --- they've had reasoble weight on them --- a valve amp but not one with monster transformers but you could put strips on each side and suspend shelf I guess --- but I think they'll hold most amps and if you stacked them you'd have quite a few shelves just by virtue of the outer 'cases'

Thanks ill do some thinking. I've got a heavy SS amp, a heavy dac with outboard PSU and a heavy valve pre plus 2 monoblocs. My transport is a top loader and can presumably sit on the top of the stack.

Ok they are on ebay (at higher price ) and auction ends shortly but only 2 watchers .... I m going to move them tonight so might try stacking them just to see how stable they are -- pretty confident they' ll be ok but will confirm

the shelves are really pretty sturdy ---- the dowel supports are better designed than the Ikea type
