Triton 8" full range speakers -- in a very nice bamboo finish.
Pretty rare to find Blumenstein over here I think -- I have been v impressed with them, I have these and a pair of Kudos Cardea C2s and like them both very much - I am leaving it up to fate to decide which I keep but one pair has to go ....... these are a 'full ranger' with a super tweeter if that isn't a contradiction in terms.
Easy to drive and with surprising amount of bass they are in great condition and the drivers have only a few hundred hours on them.

The designer/maker spent several years on an apprenticeship in Japan working for Feastrex who make high end speakers and cones etc and these are the result, his aim being to 'voice' these like the very much more expensive Japanese design.

The Triton's 8" full range drivers are being run without any signal filtration. The natural 8 octave range of the 8" paper cone full-range driver is subtly augmented for the last octave (10000 Hz and up) by a 1" ferrofluid cooled neodymium magnet super tweeter which is elegantly crossed with a single, high-quality capacitor. The integration is perfect at low or high volumes. The sound is smooth, detailed, organic, dynamic.

The Triton is the best sounding large diameter full range design we have ever produced.
This is the top offering from Blumenstein and is $1,350 in US before import duties and carriage --- the Kudos unsurprisingly have greater bass but not by a significant margin and I will be happy with either speaker long term---- I've had a nice run of rather nice speakers recently and these are like the MAD 1920s in that they may not be terribly well known but really perform - I think I will always have a soft spot for standmounts........ audition and collection the obvious option - I am in N E Essex CO6 postcode ( good road links via M25 > A120 or A12)

I heard these, albeit at relatively low listening levels, at Chris's earlier this week whilst picking up his Kef's. Very sweet sounding speakers. A bargain for someone there. Chris is a really gracious host and a pleasure to deal with too. GLWTS mate.

Tks Alex --- they are indeed v handsome in my view, I swap between these and the Kudos and enjoy both ----- and the stands are worth atleast £100 I'd say so speakers for £475 seem a bit of a bargain, but there's a few nice items around at mom - all I can say is that anyone who buys these will be chuffed I'm sure, I think the guy at Blumenstein is obsessed with full range drivers and it shows

Well it's been said over and over again, both here and on the other forums, that there is an unbelievable amount of high quality items being offered for sale at bargain prices but with little in the way of sales being achieved. It doesn't seem that long ago that competitively priced quality items would sometimes sell within hours!

These speakers look really attractive and if they are a close sonic match to your Kudos C2's (a speaker that I am very familiar with ;)) then combined with those quality stands they look like a very fine buy indeed.

Good luck with the sale

I've wondered for a long time why bamboo doesn't get used more in the cases.
Interesting that the old style speaker unit gets used. My Ocellias us PHY units that have a similar philosophy-but cost 1000 euros EACH!-per basic speaker (12K for the complete set of Calliopes)
There's something special about full rangers.

Tks Chris ---- yes I have always been a fan too, ever since I owned a pair of Electric Beach Frugals ---- cabinet design is so important to make them work and I really like the bamboo too _ I kind of stumbled across Blumenstein by accident and he seems a genuine enthusiast first and foremost and these do sound good which probably begs question why I'm looking to sell them (!) -- it's for another pair of single drivers using Sabas thise time and a Ronde floorstanding design --- I just need to sell these or I risk losing the others .... but at this price I kind of hoped they'd go but it's a difficult mkt still .... cheers anyway

Hello,

Are these still available without the stands? And are you open to shipping to the east coast of the US?

Thanks,

Steve
