Q: I use a sophisticated system using Linn electronics and Tannoy Kensington 5-terminal speakers. What are the two best LFD Audio speaker cable solutions to improve the performance please?

The Tannoy earthing terminal is supposed to be connected to chassis of the power amplifier if possible, otherwise the loudspeaker black terminals. Tannoy feel that earthing the loudspeaker does improve the sound by lowering the noise floor.
The loudspeaker cable I designed for Tannoy (sold under their name) was many years ago and used a screen for the green earth, i.e. 5 wires (tweeter hot/cold, bass hot/cold and earth wire) at loudspeaker end and 3 wires (amplifier hot/cold and earth wire) at amplifier. This cable was similar to standard Grainfree Biwire i.e. used same tweeter conductors and a Grainfree multistrand for bass conductor.
When Tannoy discontinued this cable due to its high cost (retail for 3m was around £1200-£1300, 10 years ago) I just took Tannoy biwire cable and removed screen, removed outer insulation to increase diameter, removed the solid wooden block as termination at end of cable (very nice solid walnut) and made it easier to make and sold it (Grainfree Biwire) for considerably less!
If you had the Grainfree Biwire Signature cable and i added a green earth wire (not a screen, since i think eliminating screen a better idea), it would add 12% to the retail of standard Grainfree Biwire Signature.
I designed a silver cable for the original Tannoy super tweeter which was sold under the Tannoy name, again about 10-12 years ago.
I actually still supply a version to a Tannoy retail shop in Norway. This silver cable ironically is the same silver conductor used in the Grainfree Biwire Signature!. The Norwegian super tweeter cable is solid silver/PTFE insulation, but uses green wire not screen (original Tannoy cable had screen) and is 1.5m long like Tannoy cable.
Remember the super tweeter cable has 4mm banana termination at both ends, i.e. no problem on super tweeter, but would need to be connected in side hole of Tannoy tweeter terminals (Grainfree Biwire goes into normal center 4mm hole of terminal). I would confirm with the customer that Tannoy terminals are the 5 way terminals they have used for many years, i.e. it can take spade & banana on side + banana in the center hole.
