I was doing a little job with a sharp knife and being hasty, I slipped and stabbed myself in the thumb.

Right, I thought. Have another go and take more care. Doing! Did exactly the same thing.

Now I have two holes in my thumb about 5mm apart and bleeding nicely. Ouch. :lol:

A couple of times when there has been a particularly tight fastener and you are leaning hard on the screwdiver, then you think what happens if I slip with this.

Then it happens and you have a hole in your finger/palm or wherever, ouch indeed, been there :eek:

There is a rule in woodworking that should apply. I've seen otherwise skilful guys with chisels right through a limb

ALWAYS point the tool away from your body!

Reminds me of the story about the guy who lost a finger at the sawmill, when asked to describe how it happened he lifted his hand towards the bench saw and did it again, ouch!

Yes. That one crosses my mind when at the dentist too. It'd hurt some. Mind you I've had worse.
