Wanted : Harbeth P3esr

Peeps,

I'm after a pair of Harbeths P3esr may consider 30.1 but primarily looking at the P3's, only caveat must be rosewood or if a pair of 30.1 materializes then preference is Tiger ebony.

What say you ....

Hello Greg, wise choice ! Dave at Radlett has a discounted pair. Failing that, my very best advice is to be patient if you don't get lucky in the short term. Some will eventually pop up and it'll be worth the wait. I had to sit tight for a few months for mine and I've not considered changing them in a handful of years now.

Dave as i'm looking to buy used - the difference on these and a used pair of 30.1 is fairly close considering recent sales,just thinking of upgrade paths. Both will work in my room. I have had the p3's running of a friends Accuphase in my room- jaws still recovering my thinking is that the 30.1 will more of the same house sound,fuller and more of that sauce ! but at the right deal I'm all ears !

I moved to a pair of brand P3ESR's in Eucalyptus finsh about three years ago from my long serving floor standers (Triangle Antals) I thought I would miss the extended bass but it has never been an issue, and the extra detail and natural rendition of instruments/voices has been incredible. Whatever finish you buy you will not be dissapointed, either by looks or performance ;)

That sounds amazing in comparison to the Antals! I must give the P3ESR's a listen then? I have certainly found some of the mini monitors in the past to lack depth and richness in the bottom few octaves, even for Jazz.

I've often demo'd the P3ESR against some of the highly touted floor standers and found the little speakers provided better quality and more extended bass.
