peak at around midnight, called the Gemenids between 100 and 160 per hour. Best seen from the norhtwest and south or anywhere the sky is clear. you only live once. I remember being struck dumb by Hale Bopp.

We were just out walking the dog & when we got the lights of the neighbouring houses & roads to our backs we were treated to a pretty impressive light show. Some of them were showing colour - plenty of green.
It all makes you feel pretty insignificant really, all that stuff going on 'out there'!!

Well I have been out the back on a reclining deck chair freezing me nads off for a glimpse. I have only seen 3 so far! BUT, I would have been happy seeing just one. I have only ever seen one 'shooting star' before now, and I love this sort of thing. I will go back out before bed for another look but it seems to be clouding over a little. I think we may have some snow in the next 12 hours - I will consult the pine cone.

It does make you feel insignificant really.

Must admit, there are way to many of these at the moment Marco.....behave or its of to the naughty step for you...:(

Its lowering the tone of AOS in my humble opinion.

Same here our lass has been ill with the flu for days now, so no M.O.T this week, not even been to the boozer, thats that ..i'll be in pieces by next week :(
