Downsizing my hifi systems so selling my Bent Audio TAP-X slagle autoformer preamplifier designed by the legendary John Chapman. A very versatile passive preamplifier with six rca inputs, tape output, sub output as well as a 100% passive main output. Comes with a remote and 9v PSU. I imported it as a factory made model from the USA so I have both 240v and 110v PSUs.
Other features: switchable buffer stage, home theatre bypass, continuous 1db level steps from -52db to +7db -full details of features can be found in the owner's manual available for download at www.bentaudio.com/dlfiles/tapx-r1.pdf
These are rare in the UK, sonically transparent and I understand used as a "reference" pre by Srajan Edean of Six Moons. Support from its designer John Chapman is very good.
I am looking for what I paid for it £1,000 plus postage/courier. It can be collected either from central London or West Sussex or I can send it by courier. I always pack my things very carefully.
