I've been using a PC based system for ages now.

All good gear...decent DACs, some great Adam active monitors etc.

However I've had a hankering for some valves as I had a valve based system years ago.

To cut a long story short I've just sat listening to a set of Alpair7 Pencils on the end of a MELODY / ONIX SP3 6L6 Valve Amplifer that I just picked up today. Playing some albums on a Project Debut Carbon Esprit with Ortofon Blue through a Little Bear valve phono stage.

Two hours grinning like a fool.......................the PC system is clinical etc but this is just on another level..............its actually quite emotional.

The problem now is that I was planning to either buy some new speakers or build some Frugal Horns but it sounds amazing already.

What to do?

Stick with what you've got until you think it's not quite right.

If that never happens then you're sorted!

Valves ROOL.
Had a similar WHOA! experience not that long ago and seriously...they really do.

Mainly PC based setup here...have decent vinyl kit too.
Enjoy what your hearing man, and chill.
If you dont spend today and your happy with what your have..be still, it will help fund a "next level" upgrade tommorow.

(probably valve based? :))

Indeed. If you change after this anyway then you're un-sorted for a long time.

The sound advice is appreciated (no pun intended) I just have to control the urge.

I'm amazed by the performance of the Alpair drivers.

Some of us spend many years, and more money without results like yours.

Enjoy the music, that's the point innit?

If you must explore this further, I recommend the SEOS kits.
