Selling up to do something different with my time. All of these are built from kits (speakers) or group buys on DIY Audio so are priced according to parts cost not performance, generally my findings are that you'd have to spend 5 to 10 times the parts cost to better the performance.
Bastanis Wildhorn built from a driver kit around 2 years ago, they are a 12" wide range driver in a back loaded, bottom firing horn cabinet with a Dipole compression driver in a small front loaded horn enclosure acting as a tweeter over 7kHz. Sensitivity is 100db they have only a resistor across the binding posts and a capacitor in line with one tweeter input and the cabinets are unfinished birch ply. The tweeter is the better Gemini version sold by Bastanis so the driver kit would currently have cost 2000 Euros (Robert is splitting the kit sales away from the Bastanis brand name) and the speakers weigh around 30kg each (35cm by 34 cm by 105cm).
They sound brilliant, if I was keeping any kit I can't imagine ever selling them, they have a dynamic, large scale sound that image surprisingly well for such a large wideband driver, they seem to work best with around 18W of valve power and present a fairly easy load (from memory they drop to just under 6 Ohm at one point) and manage to hold together on both complex and simple music, but for me their wonderful tonality stands out most along with the ability to project the human voice in a manner that feels lifesize and lifelike. Many people have heard them both at my place and Scalford (TNT reviewer thought they were exceptional, a friend with 20 years in the hifi industry thought you'd have to spend £8K or £9K to better them) and I would prefer collection alongside a demo with your amplifier.
Not the prettiest of things, they could be improved visually with either veneer or a front baffle/cover of some sort, I'm not looking to get my money back (or even the value of the bits) so am offering them for sale at £1200.

Pass B1 buffer - bought finished about a year ago, worked flawlessly from day one - Unity gain 2 input buffer made with high quality parts. The parts cost in excess of £250 but I'm happy to sell for £150, can post but that will be extra.

Salas Simple folded phono stage - set for MC (62db gain) and with adjustable loading (from 10Ohm to 47.5kOhm using dip switches) this is a dual mono, jfet based stage in 2 boxes with the PSU in a separate case. Cases are good quality 10mm fronted all aluminium and the components are chosen for high performance to cost ratio. The build cost in excess of £430 and it has seen off phono stages up to and beyond £1800. Great resolution and tone but also very quiet. Looking for £350 plus delivery. Sold

I'm in the process of tidying the phono stage up, both the buffer and phono stage have been up and running in my system for about a year with no issues.
