Hi,

I am running a small home recording studio and I'm very interested in "both worlds" (recording studio and hifi). I mostly listen to (and record) acoustic music (world music, folk, bluegrass, country, jazz). But sometimes I like rock and even some electronic music...

My main system (for mixing and listening) is: Computer -> Cranesong Avocet II DAC and monitor controller (preamp) -> McIntosh MC452 -> Harbeth M40.1

My second system (kitchen): Laptop -> Mytek Stereo192 DAC incl. preamp -> Croft Series7 (will upgrade to the Croft Series7 Regulated soon) -> Harbeth P3ESR SE

Hi Oliver,

Nice to see another Oliver arrive at AOS, I too record a few acoustic tracks now and again. Nothing as professional sounding as your gear though. Do you play guitar? If so pics are nice to see !

Welcome to the forum.

Hi Oliver, welcome from me.

Living in Munich do you ever go to the annual hifi show?

Welcome to AOS, Oliver.

Sounds like a very nice set up you have there. :)

I'd love a home recording studio, unfortunately it would have to be a vintage 60's one which would cost an absolute fortune to set up... I can dream. :)

Enjoy AOS :)

Jo :)
