Much needed home repairs forces sale. Looking for £400.

Many have had a chance to hear these at NEBO and MiBO events and most who have enjoyed them. The middle child of the Rega floorstander range. Cosmetically lovely condition, circa 2 years old. One minor blemish shown in the pics on the top of one cabinet, barely noticeable in situ. Must have occurred when loading them into the car for a bake off. Original boxes, packaging and bridging connectors all good. Sensitivity 89db, 6 Ohms,110w power handling sound great with valves up em but pretty unfussy amp wise

Collection from Gateshead in Tyne and Wear preferred. May deliver within a reasonable radius for petrol costs. PM me to discuss.

Sounded great at the bake off :thumbsup:seem a genuine bargain at that price.

A complete bargain Rich. They sell for much more on the bay

I believe these are the slightly later versions as well as the 'feet' are slightly different

I have the smaller RS3's and they are really fantastic speakers and are very easy to drive

If I hadn't just purchased the Auditoriums I would be all over them :doh:

Have you got something new already Rich? As I recall they sounded very sweet in your living room, if i had the space i'd have em mate, my pad just isn't big enough, can't believe they haven't been snapped up yet :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Hi Mike, nice to hear from you. That was the RS3 you heard at mine, these are their bigger brothers. I'm getting a pair of RS3 from a mate who is going travelling so I'll be living with those for a while whilst I figure out my next steps.

I would ebay them Rich....I've heard these many times...they are exceptionally musical speakers....easy to drive and very easy to listen too...and the price is crazy too low....

Good choice Rich there to good to give away and as Al said they are exceptional speakers and have been used to great effect at past NEBOs. Had I not just got the neets I would have had these in a flash.

Quite. It's gonna cost me several times that money to better these. The financial situation has improved. The RS5 have gone back into the main system and the RS3 are lined up for duty in the spare room.

I still have my RS3's but not tried them in the system since getting the LV's.. I really should give them a go soon I guess ;)

Ive got several sets of speakers, but since I put my last pair I made in I have not even considered putting another set in. Funny that as I used to like changing around for a different sound.

That's exactly where I am Grant since I put the LV's in the system I've not wanted to change them around and the RS3's are languishing on the landing under cover... ;)

Just realised I now ONLY have 2 pairs of speakers since the LS3/5a's and 800's have gone .... nightmare.... :doh:

If you change your mind, Rich, and want to sell the RS5s, I'll happily pay your asking price. I'm currently using RS3s which are excellent but I'd like to try something a little bigger. Rega make good speakers!
