A conspiracy theory surfaced earlier this year of a secret society within the EU after a number of senior leaders were photographed making the sign, which is allegedly used by members of the mythological illuminati.

Others photographed using the hand sign in the rhombus shape have included Mrs May herself, and European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker.

The sign is often referred to as a Merkel Diamond, due to her frequent use of it.

Mrs May was snapped imitating the 'Merkel diamond' while giving a speech outside the Palace of Westminster on July 11.

No way the Illuminati would be dumb enough to let Juncker join. Theory falls down there.

I admit it's a bit far-fetched, unlike this exclusive:

http://www.express.co.uk/news/weird/733026/Russia-science-Kola-borehole-Noah-floodwater-Bible-Genesis-theory-of-12

RUSSIAN scientists dug the world's deepest hole and discovered water from Noah's great flood, "disproving the myth" that the earth is made up of dry, rocky layers, it has been claimed.

The Kola Borehole could only go down as deep as 12km before being blocked by a mystery force.

A video exposing the so-called Kola conspiracy says the established view of the earth's makeup – crust, mantle and core – was proved wrong by the geological dig.

Scientists were shocked to discover that instead of solid, dry, dense rock massive amounts of water were found.

The video's publishers, Plano Existential, claim this proves the Biblical event of Noah's flood is a reality - and that the flood waters drained to this subterrannean sinkhole.

The Biblical story of Noah’s flood has troubled theologians for centuries and not least among the questions was ‘what happened to the waters which flooded the earth’ – where exactly did they recede to?

Now some Christians believe the discovery of water so far below ground explains and gives credence to the flood story not as an allegory but a historical event.

This is more like what our politicians should be doing.

Junkers is a great politician for whom I have a lot of time. Churchill was a war criminal and a nasty piece of work who happened to do a damn good job as war leader but was then quite rightly replaced as soon as the electorate had a chance.

ridiculous statement Jez. You beggar belief at times. Tis is a private post by way, and will say Winny had his faults; many of them, but casting him a war criminal is plain foolish.

And who was then brought back by the electorate six years later.

I see where you are coming from but I think 'war criminal' is overstating the case by a fair margin.

Although as a war leader he failed to achieve his own objective of preventing Soviet Communism from engulfing a large area of Europe. Although he did make every effort to prevent it. He was wrong about Italy being the 'soft underbelly', over-estimated the ablity of Nazi Germany to defeat the Soviets, thus made too many concessions to Roosevelt, authorised far too many resources to be devoted to the carpet bombing of German cities (compared to the resulting effects on the German ability to fight on) and I've hardly even started.

Easy to play Captain Hindsight, though. I think his most important contribution was more intangible, he was a man the nation could rally around when such a man was badly needed. And they don't grow on trees.

Utter rubbish. The hoards of the brainwashed Daily Heil "readers" need knocking down at every opportunity by jingo. And it's not a private post it's on a public forum.
He is certainly by any measure a war criminal from the wars of empire. I believe he also ordered troops to open fire on striking miners in the UK with many deaths.

BY that definition pretty much everyone ever involved in a war anywhere is a war criminal. Fine if we agree that war is in itself a criminal act, but that isn't how international law works. It's like calling Blair a war criminal. People do it but it does sound faintly ridiculous to me. It's rhetoric, it's a slogan. It isn't presenting any sort of argument against
Blair or his actions. Same applies to Churchill.

What about Nelson? Wellington? Wolfe? Drake? Hawkins? Montgomery?

My point being twofold. Firstly if you just brand everyone a war criminal the term loses all meaning. Secondly I am opposed to the re-writing of history in a modern moral stance. People saw the world differently then, that has to be taken into account when making judgements.

Here's a quote from the article about Churchill:
"Hussein Onyango Obama, was imprisoned without trial for two years and was tortured on Churchill's watch, for resisting Churchill's empire."
Imprisoned without trial? Tortured?
Does that sound anything like Guantanamo?
Maybe some things never change.

The actors change and the dialogue is kept contemporary but the play remains the same.

Back to the OP, all these politicians use that hand position, its a 'power gesture' they get taught when doing public speaking (many do it with fingers up and thumbs down). If nothing else, it stops them waving them around when they talk. However, since most politicos use it, I just associate it with lying.....
