View Full Version : S & B Music First TX102 Wiring Diagram
Be very helpful if someone has such a thing - I'd be particularly interested in implementation as in Baby Reference with balanced XLRs and ground lifts. These are not the latest transformers, if this makes any difference.
Thanks!
Is this of help: http://www.stevens-billington.co.uk/page103.htm ?

Thanks Barry...no, those are the moving coil step up transformers they sell, TX103. A much simpler connection option than what I'm looking for....
Thanks...I'm sorted now!
Hi Nial
I have the TX102 trannys which were wired up for me by a friend who unfortunately has now died. If you have the wiring diagram I would very much like a copy for my records
Thanks Chris
Hopefully this link is useful for you.

Thanks Keith for doing that, just what I wanted.
Sorry Chris, only just seen this, but in any case it was Keith/Marra's point to these sources that sorted me out - all you need is on there.
Some pics of how mine turned out...

The front is slab rippled sycamore about twenty years old, the finish is violin varnish and ground. I used a star earthing system, a ground lift on the output, and the pair of Rhodium plated sockets on the back bypass the selector switch and go straight to the transformer input – this input can be isolated by using position 6 on the selector switch which has no connection to any inputs. All internal wiring is silver. Outputs are duplicated as I use one pair to power a pair of subs. I'm also running it at the plus 6db configuration - I thought it just had the edge in my system.
I'm extremely pleased with the sound - clear and just so much less hash and distortion than normal preamps.
