Vinyl Sheen - What's it all mean ?

Is really good vinyl always shiny ?
I have some that looks spotless with mirror sheen, others whilst fairly spotless have a more the dull / slightly mat look.....

Depends on the way its pressed and how the vinyl is made. A lot of 60 s vinyl was very nice, and hard stuff. Difficult to scratch seriously too. Some of the recipes i think were in folks head and were lost or so it would appear
