....has finally landed this side of pond. Ive taken my 30 day free trial. As a prime member i will get it at 7.99 a month and has 40 mil songs, so not too shabby, although less than the biggies i think. Its a nice site, and pretty much as before. I can use from my ipad with the thunderstorm or in other ways. Dont know it i will use it enough, but happy to try. I stopped my audiobook subs so i could try this lol.
Think if you buy one of the units (forgot their name) you get it cheaper.

I've just received an email about this from Amazon. £7.99 per month for Prime members and £9.99 otherwise. Just 40 million tunes to choose from. Aaaaargh!

Trouble is getting it onto the stereo i guess. Doesnt work with chromecast yet and probably never will. I will try it for a month free and might run it for a month or 2 over xmas.

What's the bit rate/compression algorithm? Any uncompressed streaming?

Doesnt say now but prbobly usual. Just says low med high i think. Sound good enough to me although maybe not for the audiophile. I could take the optical out from my amazon tv box i guess and put it into a dac. Need to find a suitable dac though

Don't go to such trouble, Grant. Apparently Amazon hasn't revealed the bit rates for it, so I just read. That means it won't be spectacular, I suspect.

I'm fussy I won't use Spotify, which many are happy with.

Roughly £6.58 per month if you pay the full year price of £79.00 up front.

Got this working on my stereo. Feeding from a laptop running chrome via the cast extention to my chromecast audio. Sound is not bad considering. Still getting the odd fluctuation or stutter. Dunno what is causing this. Pc, ethernet link, chromecast.. could be any i guess.
Still its something to work with for now.

Think tbh the processor of the pc is a tad slow for this. At least it will work.might try my win 10 one which a lot quicker

Well, i tried it today streaming to chromecast via the win 10 pc upstairs and it runs fine, indeed very good it sounds. To save going upstairs to control it or moving it downstairs i am using teamviewer to control pc from either the ipad or better the laptop downstairs. Very good program this. Expensive if using it business wise but free to me.

Its not quite redbook quality tbh but not too shabby. Will i buy it? Dunno, probably not tbh, as its too much of a pain getting it to system.
Google do a trial too that goes needless to say to the cast, but not so happy they are only offering uk a 30 day trial while the us get 4 months.
Then there is spotify and all the rest to try.:eyebrows:
