I wonder how the hackers managed to load their cart with the money from different customers accounts, and check out.
Saw something about that... not sure if today or yesterday at Tesco Bank. Sounded like an inside job, with the way it was done. Tesco so far have not exactly handled it particularly well either.

Considering that Tesco have had their bank up and running for a while, they don't seem to have a huge number of customer accounts. I imagine they use the services of one of the major banks to administer it all. The current security scare will not do them any favours.
They are actually a very big player now Geoff. They now run all the bank and have 7 mil customers. They originally had a 50-50 arrangement with the BoS but bought out the shares i think. I believe 20k accounts were affected.

I didn't realise they'd got that big Grant. I thought accounts were in the hundreds of thousands.

too big for their security obviously ... trouble with fairly new, and rapid growth banks.. they outgrow the security and just think it wont happen etc. Hope it costs them a fair bit and teaches them a lesson.
