Hi Andrew, welcome to the forum.

TDL RTL 2 I remember well. Bit like a Ford Capri, good on the straights and not many of them around any more :) Would like to see some pictures if you care to post some on the Galley section.

Hi Martin,

Got them a couple of weeks back, to see what they were like (cheap and local). Better than the Index on rock but not so good on acoustic, looking to sell both sets and get anther transmission type speaker with better treble. Yes I will put some photos on of all my system. But new to Forums so still getting to know what to do.

Hi Geoff,

I've been getting anything service for the pass couple of years with the SNAPS service this year and upgraded to having new 5 pin socket on to power both rails on the pre-amp. It's the speaker I am looking at upgrading thinking about some IMF transmission lines maybe the Super Compacts or ALS 30/40. As not to push the 30 Watts from my power amp.

Cheers,

Andy

The ALS40 is huge fun and packs a big wallop. It's not as daunting size wise as the big IMF transmission lines either. Finding untampered originals with all drivers working OK is tricky though. The mid unit often has rotted foam cone surrounds, but that can be repaired.
