View Full Version : A New Pair Of Ears
Yesterday, my Wife gave birth to a beautiful baby boy; a brother for my 2yr old Dylan. He's a good size weighing in at 10lb 4oz, but we're both tall and the baby is long so the weight is more due to the length than anything I guess.
Both Mum and baby are fine, but we've yet to decide on a name. He's smashing and I'm dead chuffed.
:)
Congratualtions Lee!
I'll have a cigar if you're offering:)
Hey ! Congratulations to the mother, to you, and I hope the life of your baby will be full of happy moments. :)

Congrats, mine tell me all the time to turn it down or more usually off:)
Yes, congrats. A perfect excuse to revisit those nursery rhyme LP's? :eyebrows:
Congrats! That'll be another 2 years of broken nights, but hopefully not broken hifi! (I've only lost a speaker bass cone so far!) ;)
Many congrats, you'll need to be playing plenty of bass heavy stuff over the next few months to make sure the little 'un gets loads of sleep. Jazz is no good, too disconsonant, dance is no go, synths too screechy, nice bit of reggae, good old Bob Marley should fit the bill. Have a  on me!
Cheers

Congratulations Lee.

Congratulations to you and your wife,Lee.
:champagne:
Congrats from me too...
Try the "Music For Babies" discs (can't recall the artist/composer). Very "Tick-Tock" electronic rhythms almost in the kraftwerk style, but far earlier and it works apparently..

Make that 4, in my experience (have you spotted the 5am posts?!)
Congratulations, Lee, it's all too easy to forget how much joy a tiny one can bring, and how quickly they grow, too
All the best!
I have got a good cd of Ivor the engine very relaxing, all the good sound effects from the program, ah takes me back:)
This is what you want - Lullaby (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lullaby-Beautiful-Soothing-Collection-Children/dp/B0012IWIZ4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1260313721&sr=8-1), by Sophie Barker - who sang with Zero 7 - putting the chill into the night time routine - never worked for the babe, but it did help me! ;)

All the best Lee
Great news, Lee. I wish your good lady, Dylan and you all the health and happiness in the world :)
Marco.
For the sake of rounding of this thread, we went with the name Ellis Lucas.
It was such a hard decision
Congrats from me too...

Would that be Soothing Sounds for Baby WIKI (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soothing_Sounds_for_Baby#cite_note-0) by Raymond Scott.
Ellis Lucas, very nice, was worried you might go for Thomas.
Cheers
Back again...
We had a change of heart and switched the names around, so it's now Lucas Ellis. :)
