Three guitars that my aged Dad has asked me to sell for him .... so, offering here first at bargain prices for quick sale (hopefully)

I am not an expert in guitars, so if anyone thinks I've got something wrong, please let me know.

All are in immaculate condition. One or two photos have odd effects, caused by catching my own reflection in the shiny gloss finish. All three have no visible marks or cosmetic blemishes.

Finally, these are all with me now, near M1/M6 junction. Cash and collect, please. I will travel to meet up, within reason ... pm me.

The first two are very nice (and tempting!) but the Schecter isn't my cup of tea at all.
Anyway, I have too many guitars already so I'm afraid I have to resist temptation.
Still, I'm sure they will sell.

Shame you were not selling them prior to MiBO as I would quite like the semi acoustic. Is shipping really out of the question?

I shipped my steel blues guitar in its hard case. I wrapped the guitar in as much bubble. I could get in case then about a giant roll on outside. Arrived fine although the guy reckoned it took him over half an hr to remove it

Lovely guitars Peter.

May I say I'm sorry that your elderly father feels that he has to sell them now for whatever reason. It must've been a difficult decision.

Regards,

Happy to bring it over for a tea and biscuit ... and a listen to the mighty Krell :carrot:

I could ship the Schecter ... just need to find a really secure box from somewhere. The Vintage is a bit more vulnerable, though ... but happy to discuss with anyone interested.

Hey you're always welcome Peter. I could ask around the local musos, see if I can sell the other guitars for you, would make the trip worth it.

Peter;

I wish you luck in selling these guitars. They are in beautiful condition. I would love to buy the Epiphone ES-339, but other obligations at the moment and i am a little farther than 50 miles from the M1/M6 intersection! Whoever gets them will get a guitar that has been lovingly cared for.

I can relate to this! I have another friend who is also an audiophile and he has his dad's 1957 Martin D-18. Can't play it but loves to look at it! I think he has started lessons though, so he has one leg up on me!

Hi Don

I bought the Epiphone and it is in mint condition. Looks like it has never been played. Or touched. Or even looked at :)

Surprised no-one else has treated themselves for Xmas.

It's a nice gtr that Martin. I had to exercise some restraint not to have that myself.

Every time I get the urge to impulse buy I look up at the new roof on the house and the urge passes lol.

I nearly had that. Must get a semi. I think I will do soon. I seem fixated on blonde flamed maple for it though which is why I didn't buy this one.

Always liked the look of the Fender Starcaster for some reason ... just looks 'right' to me.

The Schecter and the Vintage are both similarly unmolested. My 95 year old Dad doesn't do too many gigs nowadays ... :guitar:

No takers? Look at the pictures ... immaculate and georgeous :D

How about £175 for the Vintage and £295 for the Schecter? That's about as low as I can go.

Peter, I dont know how to say this gently, so I will just say it.

Your in-laws may not be as honest as you might have hoped them to be.:)

Im up in Kirkcaldy next week ( hopefully for not too long ) and I will report back if things are any better than when I was last there. Dont build up your hopes.

Ps good luck with the guitar sale.

Peter, you will be ok.

With your accent, you are almost a Scot anyway.

Have a nice time up there. if you have some spare time, head east along the coast to the little fishing villages. St monans, Pittenweem, Elie, Anstruther and Crail. Lovely.....

Peter I'd love to have taken the Schecter but due to it being 'green' I just can't as 'green' has very negative meanings to me, and I've over spent on hifi recently

However that is a complete bargain for such a lovely guitar so glws

petrat

Over-spent on hifi? I'd say your recent excellent purchases have been positive bargains, actually

The pictures are not really coloured quite correctly ... the slight bluish effect in the photos is actually more like Jade in most lights, although the colouring is very subtle tbh. The overall effect is rather classy ... everyone who sees it, says it's very pretty.

A big thank you to Peter for hand-delivering the Schecter. It is in excellent condition and it looks great. A lot of work is now required on my sadly neglected (read as more than 20 years of abandonment) playing skills if I am to do it justice.

Thanks, David. A pleasure to meet you and visit your lovely house. Sorry I didn't have time to stay and audition your systems ... all eleven of them

Seems I sold these all just in time, before the great photobucket black-out robbed the ad of the pictures.

Many thanks from me and my dad to Marco and the mods for letting us sell his guitars here. Hope the buyers enjoy their noodlings :D
