FS SD Acoustics SD1 slim floorstanding speakers with ribbon tweeters. VGC

Very rare and these are in really good condition. A classic of the period, and these are very good examples.

Looking for £475 please.

Slim floorstanders in black.
4 drive units in each:
1x ribbon tweeter (Visaton)
1x5inch mid (Morel)
2x8inch bass drivers.

Top units in an open baffle.
Bass units in a sealed cabinet.

Very nicely made by a bespoke builder, Steen Doessing. Probably about 1994 era and one of the last built (no serial nos).

Grilles perfect and the speakers are.in extremely good condition, all in full working order. Good balanced sound and lovely ribbon tweeter sound.

I don't have the boxes and they will need to be collected from near Southampton. I could meet within a 40.mile radius, if that would help.

Ah, SD1 - they take me back. :) In a nice way, a very nice way.

A different version to mine - versions tended to proliferate!
Mine were earlier and of much cruder construction. But they sounded great.

I am sure these are an excellent speaker. GLWS.

I have a feeling these are OBSs, not SD1s. The SD1s had their midrange driver in a sealed enclosure. As far as I know, there were versions of both the SD1 and the OBS with either a single 10" bass driver, or two 8" units.

Either way, lovely speakers and a good price! I'm near Southampton, too. Hmmmmm......
