As the thread title suggests.
It will need some work though - it is all complete.
If interest is shown I will remove it from the scrap pile.

The machine is now rescued - will post you some pics etc once i get it home.
It also has the monitoring unit.
I couldn't bear to see it dying to be honest - it is totally complete though..... just has no case.

It is quite good actually Charlie - it's had a hard life I think but could be made workable again - running tests later today.
I pulled this from a skip as I could not bear to see it dying like that really - quite a lucky find.
I have the full printed manual and the loudspeaker monitoring unit with all cabling - even the remote cable!
Can a wooden case not just be knocked up for it? That is if its just the surround box. Nice looking machines those

Yes it can indeed Grant with very little difficulty.
As I said this machine will be made available with the manuals etc..
I have decided we will make it a worker and fully align it before release.
Thats a good idea Stewart. Some lucky person is in for a treat... a nice mahogany box is called for :)

It is now pulling tape after a few basic rapairs.......imagine it will be fully working by tomorrow afternoon - then just a full service.
Wouldnt know where to start with those things. Never did work on r to r,s of any kind. Tbh we didnt do much on cassettes either. Vhs recorders yes... they were a pita lol..

Jez;
My apologies but in future PLEASE make PM contact before launching into such presumptive replies.
My rather erratic health this year means that occasionally I stray a little.
You run a respected business - I am frankly surprised at your rather presumptive retort.

I'll take that as a no....

Not entirely.....the machine basically works and works very well - in fact the only fault is no replay audio on channel 1.
It is an EMT variant - serial number 502.
I am in a number of minds as to what to do and where to go with it next.
