These retail for £3100 so a big time deal here considering the work done to this particular unit. Looking for £1200. Cost of the upgrade components are near £500 before any labour added.

Work done to this unit:

• Input power wiring upgraded to cast copper silver plated with Teflon dielectric.
• Power board dc filter now a Mundorf Supreme(Panasonic removed).
• Both transformers placed on Neoprene sheets to remove casework resonance.
• DC filter cap from power board to output board now a Multicap.
• Dac board supported with a military foam (as used to remove noise in tanks) to prevent vibration.
• Output capacitors now TRT Dynamicap 5uf (up from the 3,7uF after direct discussions with Cary Audio). Improves bass response(Panasonics removed).
• Output bypass caps now Rel-Cap TRT Teflon (were Wima originally I think).
• Output tubes now NOS Mullard 6922 Pearl Cryo Gold Grade Plus (matched and balanced) – costly upgrade.
• Herbies tube dampeners.

From the Cary website:
The Cary Audio DAC-100t is made in the USA. The heart of theDAC-100t are two high current custom built toroidal transformers, one each forthe digital and analogue sections of the unit. We, at Cary Audio, understandthe importance of a good power supply and have spared no expense in designingtransformers that perform above their normal requirements. The separate analoguetransformer has a Faraday shield to reduce noise, and the audio circuits aredesigned to drive a wide variety of impedances to better match other associated equipment.
The audio output section, responsible for providing theactual musical signals, is based on proven Cary Audio designs for the bestsound quality. The DAC-100t audio section consists of two (2) 6922 tubes operated in a non-global feedback configuration. The audio section is fed withits own discreet low noise power supply. The digital bitstream is handled by anew front end designed in conjunction with one of the industry’s acknowledged digital leaders. A Wolfson WM8805 chipset is used as the input receiver for thefour (4) (2-coaxial and 2-Toslink) SPDIF digital audio inputs, as chosen bymany of the finest DACs in the world. The USBinput uses XMOS processing for asynchronous processing of USB computer basedmusic, stripping away the computer’s timing and replacing it with a much moreaccurate master clock for a more stable bitstream. It is able to handle multiple 24 bit/192kHz channels with extremely low latency, all at 500 MIPS.
Once thedigital bitstream is managed it is sent to the digital to analogue conversion section, comprised of two (2) ESS Sabre ES9023 24/192 DAC chipsets. These circuits accurately recreate the analog musical signals and send them to thevacuum tube analogue output stages, and then out to thegold-plated RCA or XLR balanced outputs. All of these processes are designed tohave no compromises in sound quality, and provide the very best musical reproduction in its price class.
