I bought this recently over on the Lenco forum but I have too many turntables and fairly rapidly realised I have nowhere to put it.
It sounds absolutely superb with a period cartridge like my B&O SP1 or a recently acquired Shure M3D, with both of which the overhang works out spot on according to my Dr Freickert protractor.
The L70 arm looks heavy but is actually quite sophisticated as it’s dynamically balanced (like my Ikeda arm or my earlier FR64S!). It was rewired and fettled by J7 at Audio Origami courtesy of its previous owner. It sounds far far better than it has any right to looking at it.
Many over on the Lenco forum prefer the deck itself over a GL75 ot 78 for its heavier top plate, while the arm is far better than the arms on the L75 and indeed many have gone back to it after trying out drop-in arms on this deck such as the AT1005/7/9 which have the same geometry.
It comes with the original Lenco rubber mat and strobe disk (I’m keeping the cork mat and stabiliser weight shown as I added these myself). Selling for what I paid for it which is £225 COLLECTED ONLY FROM BRACKNELL AREA
I’m sure this would fly back over at the Lenco forum but offering it here first. Note that it came (and comes) with no cartridge or tonearm lead at that price. I’m selling a bunch of cartridges in another thread, several of which would be good fit (B&O SP1, Denon DL109D, SPU).
