This is the current system which is still being refined (good term for upgraditis)
_____________an ailment for which there is no cure
It started as afull bi-amped Naim /Linn set up but I loaned an EAR 8L6 and went to the dark side.
A Hovland HP100 came my way and replaced an EAR 864
Finally the SiriuS D100 solid state
Conundrum........My EAR with 8 x EL34 sounds more transistor than valve and my SiriuS S/S sounds more valve than solid state
Go figure

That is a beautiful system there Martin and hardly a modest one. The Hovland I know well, having spent some time with it in the past; such a shame that Hovland went out of business as they made some really great gear.
The SiriuS (GamuT nowdays) also happens to be one hell of an amp! I know three people that own it and/or its later derivatives (one incidentally driving SF Cremona Auditors like yours) and they have always impressed me with their clean sound and effortless power.
Enjoy!

Somehow I have found my entire Photobucket Library has been wiped out
So I will have to start all over again
The Cremona Auditors have departed to Scotland so my HSM had their caps replaced with Mundorf Supreme and rewired with Atlas Hyper 2
The DAC is now a SW1X Dac 1 so now I wonder.............what next??

Whoops forgot the HSM
Wow, lovely system Martin. Did you build the speakers yourself? The finish looks amazing. Love the matching stands:)

Kind of you to say so John. Wilmslow dealt with a rather special cabinet maker and he built them.
The cabinets are overly thick with weighted channels and weigh in at around 25kg. The stands are sand filled and around 18Kg
They are veneered in hand cut sycamore 6mm and radiused, then the edging is solid cherry.
They even sound as good as they look

Hi Martin, That bass/mid driver looks like a Volt. Wilmslow use it in their Classique floorstander speakers that I have. It's a nice driver although Volt have made changes since mine were bought. They seem to have traded a little bass extension for extended response.

Thanks guys.....and yes it is the Volt bass/midrange unit.
I find that the bass goes deep and growls rather than booms. I have a room that can be a little exitable but SWMBO has frowned on room treatment

Update........The LCD-2 have now been replaced with LCD-3 and a whole new layer has been revealed
:clapclapclap:
For those of you with LCD-2 or 3 investigate better cabling..... their stock cables are inadequate!!!
