I'm Jeremy. Just rejoined as I couldn't login with my old credentials, so I'm familiar with 'Art of Sound'.

My system is going through a bit of a 'rebuild' at the moment, but the heart of the system is a 'classic' Musical Fidelity A1000 Class A amplifier (50 W per channel). This amp has been upgraded by John Samson (ex Musical Fidelity) and is in mint condition. I also have an Arcam CD73 but I'm in the process of backing up my entire CD collection on to a NAS in FLAC format as I'm getting into streaming. At some point this may make the Arcam redundant and I also may return to vinyl at some point which will mean an enjoyable time choosing a new turntable. Speakers are up for a change: Currently they are Paradigm Monitor 7's (V3) but due to lack of space in the new house they are up for sale here and I'm currently auditioning possible replacements - all / any recommendations welcome! I'm probably still looking at towers but they need to be considerably smaller.

Music tastes - absolutely anything and everything except rap which I just don't get! No offence to lovers of same. Currently I'm enjoying my Clapton collection and I'm also a huge Katie Melua fan.

Cheers,
J

Hi Jeremy. Welcome back.

Nice amp the A1000. Anyway, you know what's here, so get stuck in and have fun.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

Great tip on the Katie Melua. I have never heard of her and shocked she didn't make her way onto one of my Pandora play lists as she has a *lot* of material out there. I am always on the look-out for talented female artists for my weekend morning coffee chill time.

Cheers

Katie is a 'true artist', as opposed to 'highly commercial' and very talented. She's written some beautiful songs.
