My features editor Howard Popeck writes .....

I do believe that I observed a turning point in the industry.

The ideal audio exhibition generally by common consent in Europe is Munich. There’s a level of professionalism there and a can-do attitude from exhibitors and attendance levels which make it the European exhibition benchmark. My perception is that this particular London show has got closer to Munich in terms of spirit and engagement with the public than any seen in the UK to date.

I congratulate the organisers and the courage of the exhibitors who paid ‘big bucks’. Let’s be realistic here, what I experienced is certainly not Munich, but the potential is there and that’s probably the most compelling memory that I've taken away.

Try and identify if the primary objective of drawing a wider audience was achieved.
