Is this a passive volume control, or does it have gain?

The STC remote board uses a H bridge circuit to power the motor, it usually needs either a 100uf capacitor across the motor itself
To correct slow motorised volume movement the capacitor will greatly assist but if still slow arrange a parallel 2k2 resistor across R19 then R20
of the STC yellow board.

It is passive, but because it is using LDR's it replaces the signal applying to most other types of attenuator going through unnecessary mechanical wiping paths.
Let me know if you need any updating or servicing at any time.

Cheers / Chris

I've heard this many times and can vouch for its sound quality, plus Al's a nice guy to deal with. Bit of a bargain this.

Arrived today. Packed for World Travel! Delivered by young lady in a hatchback JAMMED with stuff (mainly plastic bags) aka 'Your local courier', which worried me a little, but it's playing away nicely as I type.
Need more space, it's WIDE! So is the imagery!
Many thanks.

They used to chuck our Packets over a high gate if we were out, I had to stop buying things that were sent by Hermes.of course each driver is different but that's part of the problem you don't know if they care or not.
