Modern jet warplanes are amazing. Enormous power and vectored thrust achieve things that could only be imagined a generation ago. Flying sideways, backards and in stall position, but in perfect control.

Yes Jez. I was at Culdrose Day last year and watched a MIG-29 doing its stuff, including the 'Cobra' manouvre. Bloody noisy plane, amazing to watch though. This was the same day that the beautiful WW2 Hawker Sea Fury crash landed in front of the crowd (about five minutes after I'd left).
