Probably not to be recommended and not for the faint hearted.

I had a 2m red new that I bought cheap and lacking in knowledge found that it would not fit the Akito arm. Read comments re bending the arm pins, didn't like that idea.

So deep breath, out with the dremel, problem solved and can be aligned perfectly.

Is there a point to this thread Gary? Is it for sale?

I haven't figured out exactly what it is you did Gary.

The cartridge body was too large and fouled on the tonearm pins, so I used a dremel to machine away the left hand side of the cartridge body to clear the pins.

Are you happy with what you've achieved. By that I mean has it been worth it, are you happy with what you're hearing from the cart and so ?

Yes happy with results, an improvement on the Rega Carbon, which was my first cartridge since the resurrection of my LP 12 and vinyl, that had languished in my loft for in excess of 10 years.

The vinyl records have been cleaned and survived surprisingly well.
