Just in case no one has mentioned his passing, I'd like to. He was born right here in Cleethorpes and passed away in London from a short battle with cancer.

Blimey, I never knew Shaun. A fab songwriter. I was always fascinated by the fact you'd never guess that this very ordinary looking and unassuming guy from Cleethorpes was the author behind such top tunes.
Wrote huge hits for Jacko including Thriller and other tracks from the great Off the Wall album.
I've given Mind Blowing Decisions and Always and Forever by Heatwave more than enough play over the years.
A sad loss, he's given us some great songs :(

Boogie nights in heaven. Sad as i can be about this. Great composer and keys man. Some of the best Moog lines i have heard in pop recordings bare his name.

Blimey this crept under the radar. You would have thought that given his credentials that there might have been something on a news channel somewhere. Might have been covered in the US, but he was the UK's best export to the US. The guy must have been a billionaire...or close. He was 66 and some would say he died too young, but what a great life and career. I have one of Heatwave's albums - Candles. Some good stuff on there. One of my favourite Heatwave tracks was The Big Guns, but is not on this album :(
