laptop to dac converter

i have got hold of a Beresford TC-7510 DAC but it does not have a usb input what is the best way to connect them up?

What laptop do you have? It might have an optical output, which you can use.

If not, you will need a USB to SPDIF converter.

I got a USB to TOSLINK or Coax converter. Just email or PM me for an AoS member price if you don't manage to find anything else suitable.

Problem is that some of the kit mentioned is quite expensive, and it could be cheaper to buy a new laptop with an appropriate output - such as a Macbook Pro - or pick up a used one, or a Mac Mini on eBay.

here's how to use the USB converter I just sent you ...

Plug in the USB cable.
Right next to that USB input socket there are RCA and TOSLINK output sockets. Use whichever you want to connect to your DAC.

You don't have to download any drivers with the one I sent you.
Just plug the cables in and it works. Well, that's what it says in the advertising blurb and it worked for me. :)
