Oh gee, is this going to be a significant step up from the exisiting DAC and will it require the same power supply to the RPi?

Looks like it's aimed at users that want balanced outputs.
Maybe uses the PCM5242.

It might sound better than the DAC+ or it might sound the same (using the phono single edned outputs).

The PRO, like the DAC+, works in slave mode so it's still taking the clock from the RPi via the Pi's poor I2S lines. So I think it would be more of a side-grade for those who particularly want balanced out.
A significant upgrade, imo, would be the Allo Kali reclocker plus Piano DAC. About twice the price though.
