Hi all.
Chris here, from Melbourne.
I love reel to reel tape decks, and l use my Pioneer RT-1050 two track deck a lot.
I now have a good collection of tapes, both 7" and 10" ones.
Most of these are my own recorded material, music mixes and albums, that I mostly recorded from Tidal HIFI. Some tapes are master recordings of live classical music performances.
I love the sound of analog tape recorded at 7 1/2 and 15 IPS, fantastic !

My small sound system is just a simple stereo setup, a Pioneer amp, and Sony speakers.
I would be very interested to hear from other reel to reel enthusiasts.

Cheers, Chris.

Hi, welcome. A few RTR enthusiasts here. I have a Tandberg TD20A myself.

Hello Chris. Welcome to AOS.

Loads of R2R fans here, so you're in good company.

Tell us what music you like and also a bit more about your system. Trust me, nothing is too modest. We like and respect all audio.

If you have further plans for your Hi-Fi, we'd like to hear about them.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

Hi guys, and thanks for the comments!
I like a lot of types of music, and used to play the keyboards a lot and compose my own music, but not too much now days.
I have recorded a lot of Jazz to my reels, some movie soundtracks, and some 1980's pop music that I grew up with and love.
I also like some classical music too.
I have a vintage collection of mics, and a small Sony mixer, with the intent one day to do some live acoustic recording with my Pioneer reel to reel. My dad plays guitar & banjo, and sings.

I am always on the look out for more tapes to use, and other vintage mics, cheap ones that is !

Cheers, Chris.
