just saw that. Silly on both sides, and typical of the press to do their best to screw him and England up.

Has he been sacked, then?

A good football manager, but like so many of them, a brainless balloon.

Marco.

Yes, I've just read that.

For me, there's always been one standout candidate for the England job, but I suspect that he's rather too 'anti-establishment' to get it... Harry Redknapp!

He has more cons going on than Sam lol. Wouldnt be surprised if they try another foreigner. Maybe an Irishman;)

Aye, Michael O'Neill's welcome to it! ;)

Michael or Martin

Either, but I said Michael - the current N.Ireland manager :)

TBH, it's a totally poisoned chalice, so any bugger who takes the job is doomed!

Steve Bruce may be the logical choice as he is free. Pardew is fav but think that would be a mistake. Brendan Rogers is the sneaky choice

Trust me, he wouldn't touch it with a bargepole!

I would have to agree! Been a poisoned chalice feels like forever now it's been that long

If they want to try another foreigner, they could always give Paolo di Canio a go!

If we don't go English, we've had Sven and Capello, why not Ranieri ? I reckon he'd do a good job

Whoever gets appointed should have a good contact network in The Championship.
Just pulling in players from the Premier League does not guarantee building a decent team, and a huge number of decent English players play in The Championship.

Steve Bruce, anyone?
