For sale is an Aqvox Phono 2 CI phono stage. This is an extremely versatile solid-state phono stage that currently retails for just under 2000 Euros! It has a wide range of connection and loading options for both RCA and XLR inputs, but is best suited to MC carts using the balanced inputs as it then runs in current rather than voltage amplification mode. There is a tiny chip on the corner of the front fascia (see photos) but it is otherwise in excellent condition.
Further technical details and links to a number of reviews available here (http://www.aqvox.de/phono.html) (it is still part of the current product line). This is the Mk II version which has an improved power supply as well as a number of improvements to the circuit, resulting in a lower noise floor. It also has internal DIP switches to allow the output capacitors to be bridged.
Included are the original Aqvox RCA to XLR adaptors that will allow you to connect a standard tonearm lead to the XLR inputs easily. I don't have the original box but will pack it securely for delivery.
Asking £400 delivered in the UK. I would consider a swap for a valve-based MM phono stage.
