Bought as a project, however the fact that it was a pretty good, clean example made me hold back. I eventually bought another fully modded GL78 so this one is now surplus to requirements.

Comes with original arm, complete with ortofon OM-78 cartridge.

Has been plugged in and powered up. Platter turns smoothly and speed selector works. Haven’t tested for sound / tracking as I don’t have a 78 disc to hand.

This is one of the few GL75s I’ve seen with a symmetrical plinth (as opposed to having the holes and space to the right for the lid support).

Looking for £100, cash on collection or paypal gift.

Collection only - I don’t have the materials available to package as I’d like and as you know these decks are pretty hefty. Located near to Hull, East Yorkshire.

Stunning...my first proper turntable (although mine was a rebadged Leak Delta).
They sound remarkably good for very little money.
Mine had a sprung base and a massive clear lift off lid.
Shame you're not a bit closer.GLWTS

Yes. They are nice and it's getting harder to find one as good as this. It's well worth the asking price.

Not seen one in that type of plinth before? These really are great turntables and an absolute bargain!

Thanks Guys, I've been sorely tempted to keep it but can't really justify 'another' turntable (©TheMrs)...

I wish I'd just said I'd take it rather than asking a question...you snooze you lose!
Looks like a smashing turntable..was the same as my first ever.
Really sad I missed it.

Those headshells are quite rare.
