Hi,

I'm Roger.

I mostly use 'gear' that I aspired to when younger and could never afford. Records are spun on a Dual CS505-1 or a Philips GA212. CD's are lased with a NAD C521BEE. I've partially embraced files and all CD's are ripped (AIFF) to a Mac running iTunes and streaming via ATV's or Airport Express devices.

Amps are varied - Quad 303's (with Quad 34), NAD 320BEE or a little PRC made EL84 that glows pleasantly on my desk.

Speakers, well, B&W DM2a's are used mostly, but there are Goodmans Axiom 301's that lurk as well as some later speakers that fit in where required.

I'll listen to most things, with a fondness for folk and rock - Nic Jones and Wishbone Ash as good examples - through Jazz (Bechet) and funk (Parliament).

I'm not a crazy box-swapper, preferring to focus on listening rather than dabbling - but late nigh eBay sessions can change this :)

Hi Roger. I'm a big fan of WA to. Listen to them at least once a week. Enjoy the AoS.

Hello Roger. Welcome to AOS.

The gear you aspired to when younger looks much the same list as the bits I wanted years ago. I've not seen a GA212 for years.

Tell us if you have any plans for your system, we like to hear what people have in mind.

Have a look around the site, I'm sure you'll find plenty to interest you. And do join in any chat that appeals to you.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

Thanks.

I'm not sure what plans I have for the system in the future, it has to have certain qualities that please my wife, mainly it looks nice and is fairly easy to use :)

I'll try and chip in where I can offer something useful :)
