Hello Guys & Girls

Some of you may know of the B&O haul i picked up on the weekend but ive thought about selling them and theirs not really a market for spares or repair B&O gear so ive decided to see who wants them for free both are in need of FULL RESTORATION AND WILL BE GIVEN AWAY WITH NO PLUGS.

Beomaster 1700 the one with the flat panel currently DEAD no power as all but it is in surprisingly nice condition its not the fuses as checked. Maybe something simple who knows

Beogram 8000 - IN need of complete restoration as in a terrible state panel are unglued stylus has snapped wood work is worn BUT this does have power but does not spin. the display lights are non working. if someone can restore this they go for £400+ the tonearm is stuck and wont budge.

If this is allowed for free if not i will put a price on just to clear them it wont be much....

Ive attached photos i would like them to go to a home & i dont want to see them on ebay once ive done this in this respect collection only from Bournemouth

Offering to members that have been here a long time...

Why do you have to live in Bournemouth?

I'd be interested in the 8000 but there is no way I can pick it up.

Hi Alan

Thats a shame.....looks like no one else wants them. Looks like a sad ending for these icons on danish HI-FI :(
I would offer them on gumtree but 9/10 they will end up on ebay and i dont want that.....

The turntable at least deserves to survive. Even if it does end up on ebay. Have you thought about offering it on Beoworld?

In the interests of recycling stuff, why don't you just put them on ebay with pick-up only 99p no reserve.

It would seem like a better solution than land fill if someone nearby decided they wanted to fix them up.
even giving them away on gumtree and then they get put on ebay arrives at the same end - someone ends up with them who actually wants them - where is the harm in that?

Robert

Sorry only just seen this thread. I gather that Alan's taking the Beogram 8000 and I'd be happy to save the Beomaster 1700 from the tip if it hasn't gone already. I'm not far from Winchester so can come and collect - alternatively if you're going to the Tonbridge Audiojumble on October 2nd we could do a handover there?

Well these 2 have gone off to a new home and hopefully can be given a new lease of life from Adam & Alan....Very nice chatting with you Adam a world of knowledge in this industry of which i find fascinating to say the least.....good old talk about past HI-Fi what bargains he's had - I've had very interesting. he spotted the Thorens TD 125/SME 3009 he loved it i also gave him a listen of the Sony SA H7900's with a bit of reggae from Bob Marley "Legend" album through the Musuical Fidelity Electra E100 Amplifier - Pioneer Precision PD505 CD player his first impressions were "Very Nice - Very Clean " that'll do me i think he liked them overall but you will have to get his opinion of them at a later date..

Well that's all for now Guys & Girls till next time.....
