Hi all

A quick question (I hope)

Looking to get a couple of head-shells to fit a Thorens TD-160 Mk1 tone arm, so that I can do quick cartridge changes when testing out a few cartridge options.

There are a couple of Thorens ones on the bay of evil but at around £70 so looking for a better value option first.

Do I have to use genuine Thorens Head-shells or do other makes fit the Thorens tone arm.

Thanks

Paul

You could do worse than posting a WANTED ad in private exhibitions. I was looking for similar for my 150 and a very kind forum member sent me one gratis.

It might help if you also specified the number of the arm, and HS you need (I'm guessing it's the TP16?)

I'm pretty certain it does have to be a Thorens hs though, as the connection is different to the standard one.

Again... Convert the Thorens Arm end to the Standard design plug (Salvaged bits)
Buy a Cheapo Headshell (ebay even 7$) Use it's connector plug for your Own DIY Headshell,
either of some Erotic wood of maleable ali sheet (easy tweaking)
