I have for sale an Inca Tech Claymore 2 Amp, this is the 100W full size version

In fairly good condition, has a mark/scrape (5-6mm) on fascia that I've coloured in, a few other marks/dents on the body but overall it's not bad for its age.

It was serviced and upgraded by Colin Wonfor a few months back ( the designer of it - he upgrades the FETs on it I think ) and he said that before he worked on it, it measured as near as damn to the spec when it was new. I bought it to compare with my TQ Claymore and being honest there ain't a whole lot of difference, the newer one is maybe a little cleaner at the top end and the bass a touch more defined, but boy does this amp ROCK! If I wasn't trying to fund a phono stage I'd be keeping it, it really is that good. As you can see it's spotless inside. It has only been used for testing when it returned from service so it should give many years good use yet. I tried it with an NVA Phono 2 I had on demo and it really sounded great, if I didn't already own the TQ version this one would have been more than enough, it really drives my PMC 21's well and it gives you the attack and welly that rock and electronic music needs, in fact writing this is making me wonder if I wouldn't be better keeping it lol.

Very nice built in phono stage covering MM and MC and is adjustable via dip switches under the chassis, accessible from outside the amp. I will be hooking it up and videoing how its looks/sounds before delivery to make sure it's all good before posting.

£325 including insured postage within the UK.

oooh am I doing the right thing in selling it........... I reserve the right to with draw it from sale at any time :D

It's a cracker, I am considering just keeping it within the family, but not sure if they're interested in this iPod age. I am selling it for what it cost so I'll end up losing the cost of the postage which will be about £25 :mental:

A little nervous sitting here typing this and thinking, keep it, sell it, keep it argh .......... I dunno

Don't be surprised if I keep it for a little while longer and try it with another phono stage

It's the old dilemma, if I keep it, it sits on the shelf doing nothing for years, if I sell it I'll regret it lol

So this will be the last time I add to the thread, so it drops down the forum and gets forgotten about 😉

Right, I've decided that this is definitely for sale.

So if anyone fancies a piece of Wonfor history and a great amp to boot........

Hi Mike,

I was interested in this, however in searching for more information on Claymore amplifiers, I found you started another thread stating it had developed a fault after you posted this advert.

What is the current status, have you had it repaired.

Colin has it for repair this week actually, Don't think it will be much wrong as the crackling/hissing noise stops when you lightly tap ( and I mean lightly, with one finger ) the casing, so it's probably just a dry joint or some other minor fault ).

I'm not sure if I will sell it or not and definitely won't be sold at the price advertised on this thread now due to the money I've spent on it, postage costs alone are sitting at over £100 ( send/return for service and upgrade (£25) when I first bought it, and then sent it back again for repair last week ) and it still has to be sent back to me after the repair so that brings the total postage and upgrade costs to around £130.

I was wanting this advert to just die but people keep bumping it back to the top

IF I do re-advertise it, it will be on another thread with a new price ;)

Hi Alan,

thanks, I'm not saying that it definitely won't be for sale, it's just that I don't think I can sell and not lose a good bit on it, not that I'm in the habit of selling for profit, all my last few sales have been bought at bargain prices and sold on here for the same or even less than I paid.

I'll decide when Colin sends it back and I'll know total costs then and I want to try it as a power amp on the end of my TQ Claymore amp, if any good using it that way then it's a keeper, if not then it will be re-advertised, and if I do I'll PM you.

Mike.

This is back up for sale, funds needed for another project.

It's had a new volume pot fitted, which has resulted in a channel imbalance as the volume kicks in, nothing major, just thought I'd mention it.

I COULD send it back to Colin but seeing as I've spent £100+ in special delivery postage costs on it so far, I'm not keen to spend another £50+ postage plus repair fee to have it looked at again.

SimonHi Simon,

My pleasure, I would have loved to have kept it but it would only have sat on a cupboard, it's better out there being used.
