Up for sale, possibly temporarily .. an interesting (and needless to say expensive) proposition leads me to offer for sale the SME M2-12R tonearm I got a while back from Petrat. If the other thing doesn't work out before this sells I will likely withdraw.
Needs no introduction really, the modern reincarnation of the classic SME 3012, with much better bearings and more adjustability, as well as silver litz wiring.. I’m in no doubt that the modern version is by far the better arm, as are most who have done a direct comparison (nice though the oldies are …).
Comes boxed, complete with manual, template and protractor. Also included two original SME headshells (the one that came with it a spare), and original SME arm cable. (Miajima Zero cartridge not included, however).
New, these are £1700 around the place online, often priced not including an arm cable and certainly not with a spare headshell. It owes me rather more, but I will let it go for £1100 collected, or plus insured courier to wherever it is.
I would suggest people be quick. I'll give it a day here before posting it around a little.
