Does anyone have any thoughts on what alternative activities people are using their remote controls for?. The amount of items for sale on ebay missing the remote control makes me wonder. I know some are more flimsy than others but where are they all going?

My teenage stepson used to snap them in half when he got angry.

He doesn't live with me any more.

Mine seem to like to get down the side of the couch. Not sure why, possibly to join up with all the small change and cigarette lighters that are already down there.

Battery leaks would be my theory, or failing that dog chewing, lost inside sofas etc.

That's what must have happened to the remote for our DVD player. We hadn't used it for several years, and the remote was sat on top of a cupboard, but when we decided to dust off and use the DVD player, the remote was no longer on top of the cupboard. It must have been 'tidied away' somewhere.

I think there are remote control ninja elves who sneak into your house and steal them at night. They then end up in job lots on eBay or in big boxes full at car boot sales.

This is something I don't get either... There is some good items on eBay that I ignore because of this exact problem :scratch:

And cowardly remotes go to remote hell. Which I believe is somewhere near Luton.

Silicon heaven .... Silicon hell is where all the toasters go :eyebrows: some may think its being crammed in a lift with Brigitte Nielsen as well :D

Not me. Assuming she was at the height of her powers (Red Sonia era) I think I wouldn't be too unhappy. :)
