View Full Version : JM Lab Electra 926 Speakers
Anyone interested in a pair of fantastic JM Lab Electra 926 floor standing speakers?
Hardly any marks on them and have all the original boxes etc for them - pictures available on request.
Open to fair offers but you must be happy to come and inspect /listen and collect from my home in Sheffield.
Price wise not sure as I have had these for a long time (never found anything that I liked better!) and they must be 10 years old I would have thought. Price
£450.00 ono?

Chris

You need to add pictures and state a price chris
Hi Chris. I might be interested in them but firstly it really is a mandatory requirement that you post at least one picture of the actual items for sale, and quote a price.
Many thanks.
Hi Grant and Martin,
A few photos attached - sorry not great.

ok thanks.. Ive inserted a big one of yours into the main ad for you
If they are anywhere near as good as my 1028 Be's, then they are fine speakers and well worth a punt for the price you are asking, have a free bump on me.
I'm interested in them but I can't find any specs for them anywhere. Supposedly there is a Stereophile review but searching on their site brings up nothing.
the Stereophile review: http://img2.tapuz.co.il/forums/65932823.pdf
Thanks man.
No measurements though :(
a (really) fine-tooth comb would yield this:
80lbs, dimensions 42” high by 9” wide by 16” deep.
91dB/2.8V/m
38Hz – 23kHz.
38Hz – 23kHz.
I've also seen the LF cut-off point quoted as 38hz. But at what level? Minus 3dB is supposed to be the standard but manufacturers fiddle this all the time. You can tell from looking at them they are not flat to 23Hz.For my room I need a speaker that is pretty much flat to 40Hz. -3dB at 40Hz would be acceptable, but minus 12dB would not be.
Thanks to everyone that has posted.
I have attached a pdf copy of a datasheet out of the manual that I have that has a little info.

Thanks Chris. That helps a bit. Looks like they do fit my spec, just. I'll have a think on it. Would need to work out a way of getting them from you to me.
Hi Martin,
Those packing boxes are really big! You will need an estate or big hatchy I think. I managed to get them into an old VW Passat saloon once but it was a squeeze. Nearly finished me off getting them back out.
The speakers work well in a small room reasonably close to walls and I have them in a 2.6x4.6m room at the mo on the end of an Avondale A260.

I'd have thought there ought to be a member in the vicinity who could help you out with a lift Martin. Why not put a request in the Private Exhibitions section?
I need them to work in a large room well away from the rear wall - Have you tried them in larger rooms at some point in the past? On paper at least they should work well.
Hi Martin,
Yes they are well suited to a bigger room, they used to be in my lounge but we are getting ready for a move (scale down) and they are now up in my office. Got used to listening whilst supposedly working!
Best speakers that I have ever owned and not sure how they could be bettered at this sort of price.

Chris
Had a small set of focal speakers and were very good, and well built too... great bass for a smallish speaker too... I'd imagine these will be superb
Speakers Sold.
Thanks to everyone that asked about them and they have gone to a good home.

Chris
