Hi Paul,
Welcome to the Art of Sound.
I hope you wiped your feet on your way in - they must be pretty wet at the moment!
We'd all like to see some photos of your gear if you'd like to stick 'em in the Gallery, that'd be great!
Have fun
Cheers

Hi Paul
No trouble with the floods up where you are i hope..

Hi Phil
I have the platforms under cd player and preamp. I find them great and wouldn't like to be without. I got them on a good deal from Audioemotion who I think will do a 30 day trial.
Cheers Paul.

Hi DSDL
At first I was a little underwhelmed-musically lovely to listen to but seemed to lack impact. On advise from the dealer I put a Vertex platform underneath
and problem solved.
Now I love it but it did seem a long time to burn in.
Question now is whether to consider an Audiocom mod or perhaps an external clock from Dave Cauley. Anyway concentrating on vinyl for now.
Cheers Paul.

Indeed it does take forever to run/burn in. I probably need to play around with more isolation options with mine...thanks for the Vertex tip. How do find noise levels from the mechanism during SACD playback?

Hi DSDL
Sorry to say I don't have a single SACD, must get one sometime but that wasn't my reason for buying the player. I have a hearing problem and thought the smooth delivery might help.
Cheers Paul.

No problem Paul.
You should get yourself some SACDs, if you think it sounds great playing CDs then it sounds amazing playing SACDs. I bought mine to play SACDs.
