capella as a pre-amp

Hi, i am interested in perceptions of how the capella acts mas a pre-amp for example

1. is it totally transparent at all volume settings (inc. maximum?
2. how does it affect volume when used at maximum output, does it add any db to the volume or not?

any other comments?

I ran mine in conjunction with a number of t amps and valve amps. It gave them an easier time and let them drive more difficult loads without clipping. It will depend what power amp you are going to use with it...synergy as always plays a key role.

Sounded pretty neutral to my ears with a variety of amps and speakers.

Maybe not as clean as a passive like the Tisbury audio or TVC promethious but brings other qualities to the sound that an active does over a passive.
