Sorry should have specified ('anyone live in Scotland? would be an equally silly question).
Seeland area, near Copenhagen.

Hi Tom.
I live in Finland, if that makes it easier for the seller :thumbsup:.
Last time I was talking to you, was when I bought the mono phono stage from you made by LongDog Audio.

Thanks for the offer, Juha :)
I already offered Germany as my sister in law lives there, but contacting the chap again today he says he only wants collection. So it's either a flight to Copenhagen, or forget about this one. Could be done for about £200 as a day trip, probably not massively more than the shipping cost, but I'd have to trust the baggage handlers on the way back (even riskier than UPS) ... it's probably a no go, thinking it through.

So what you are planning to buy is too big to fit to your hand luggage? It would be safer that way.

Yes I looked at it but it's way too heavy (and big) for hand luggage. Actually would go over standard allowance for hold luggage as well.

Pondering that too ... I just found out though the Esbjerg ferry has stopped running so it's Calais or Den Hag ... lot of driving.

See if there is a ferry to Hamburg. Either Hull or Hook of Holland.
Driving then is not so bad.
So what is it you want to buy?? Do tell

Looks like I'm sorted here :) but thanks for the input.
All will be revealed if it goes through.
Must be a new turntable. Platine Verdier, obviously.
Or possibly a clavichord ...

I just this thread and it seems you sorted it out, but anyway:
I live in Denmark (Sealand) and work in Copenhagen. I am actually going to London UK on the 19/9 and can carry a a small item (tonearm size etc).
Best Wishes

Hi Carsten - much appreciated for the offer but the seller has had a change of heart and will ship the item now ... would have been bigger than hand luggage sized through :)

Glad to hear you got it sorted out ;-)
We have some nice second-hand gear here in DK due to local production (Ortofon, Mørch etc) and not least Peter Quortrops involvement in Audio Note/ Kondo in Copenhagen years ago.
I just purchased a Voyd from a private collector, only to see he still had three different Voyds in his basement.

Wow ... if you hear of an M7 going for sensible DKK let me know. That would be worth a flight over for sure. Also you can never have too many SPUs :) I'm particularly on the hunt for mono examples at the moment including a couple for use with 78s.
