Inclined speaker stands

Has anybody any experience of Numan Retrospective speaker stands? I've tried to put a link but the tablet ain't playing ball today:( I really want reintroduced my ushers but speakers stands tend to come too far into the room. Room lay out is an issue but I can't have it all my own way.these stands are a bit like desktop stands but have a steeper incline ,. Cheers jim

They are just strip heated 5mm acrylic - I do like the way you can flip them over to achieve two different rake angles though.

I just put a piece of wood under the front edge of the speaker if it need inclining ;)

Grab a couple of them rubber door stops from the pound shop and stick 1 under each front corner... You'll hardly notice them.. Or if you're handy with tools you could modify these from IKEA http://m.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/art/20302596/

I use a couple around the house for my laptops and have found them to be quite sturdy and should hold a good weight. After posting the link for you I'm now thinking of doing something similar for my floorstanders.

Got them today, they seem angled just right though I'm not sure theyll be sturdy enough, I'll have a play tomorrow :)

17915 well it was worth trying, the tablet stands come speaker stands tilted the speakers up a tad too much so some impact seemed to be lost, otherwise things sounded pretty good. i was suprised how little the speakers interacted with the floor, not really noticable, things sounded clean and enjoyable . given a different room layout i might have experimented more but here the ushers were quite likely to get damaged, this is where the idea fails in my room. one good thing to come from this is how good the little ushers work with the quad 306, so ill be saving for some proper stands to get them back in the system:)
