Spent the week down at the family place in South West France just recently. Walked in to the living room and to my amazement there stood my very first speakers purchase from around 1985. My brother had retrieved then from his loft. Still sounding/looking pretty good for their age!
Good to see and hear that they are still continuing to provide enjoyment. What are they being driven with?
What are they, Loz? They look like Dittons of some description :)
Marco.
Precisely.... And that's the problem: 'A blast from the past' that may be obvious (with an unclear picture) to the owner, but not necessarily to anyone else! ;)
Always best to introduce things properly, so there is no confusion. However, I'm sure that Loz will be along to clarify matters :)
Marco.
Looking more carefully, they do have 'Ditton' written on the label, so ignore my suggestion that they might be Missions.

Sorry fellas. I negleted to say what they are and yes its not the best quality picture. However I can confirm they are Celestion Ditton 130's. Think they were very capable mid budget speakers, but for a tender 18 year old they cost a fortune back then. I thought they were the dogs proverbials in 1985. But they do sound pretty good still. I'll have to try setting them up properly when I'm back in France in September.

Think they're Missions.
Am I the only one who can read "Ditton 130" on the front of them?!

No, I saw the name as well - written on the front. had a pair of these many years ago.

I stated after my quoted post that on closer inspection they have 'Ditton' written on the label. But no, I cannot read the number as '130'.
