Alex Nikitin the designer and Dave Cawley the distributor of the Kora phonostage were surprised to receive this prestigious award. Many people, reviewers included, had said that it was better than some £2,000 phonostages, others had said it was the most valve like they had ever heard. Using all FET's with no overall feedback, no op-amps and with passive equalisation, the Kora is the phonostage of choice for many customers and reviewer's private systems.

Hi Fi World said "Cue up your favourite LP and sit back in awe as the music issues from the grove. It's an exceptionally musical device, bristling with energy, but never does it sound forced like many solid-staters. This has much of the natural musicality of the best valve designs, with most of the grip of the very top, cost-no-object solid-staters"

Marco even has one himself on loan!

All the people mention above are Art Of Sound Members, and this shows something, and that something is that AOS welcomes retailers, dealers, distributors and Hi Fi journalists. And why not? often the best way to learn is from the horses mouth and then chat amongst friends.

Marco's own SL-1200 with Timestep mods and Denon DL-103SA is going to have its own AOS review in Hi Fi World soon with a Kora on the end.

So with a touch of self congratulation, and BIG respect for Marco and Art Of Sound I just need to point people to the website here http://www.time-step.com/distribution/ant.html

Oh, and a no VAT offer (15% discount) to AOS members for the next 7 days.

Regards

Dave

Well done Dave and Alex!

Yes, I have the MM version of the Kora on loan and it's a stunning piece of kit - in fact, I'd go as far to say that it's the finest solid-state phono stage I've ever heard with many of the sonic qualities I value in top-notch valve phono stages. It pushes the valve MM stage in my heavily-modified Croft Charisma-X all the way, and that cost around £2.5k!

The A.N.T Kora epitomises the high SPPV products we value and champion on AoS, and truly deserves the title of 'giant-killer'. AoS are proud to be associated with this superb, award-winning, product :)
